

Mary (Heap) Lima, 76, of East Hartford, loving wife of over 56 years of Daniel P. Lima, Sr., peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 with her caring family by her side. Born in Fall River, MA on November 25, 1935 she was a resident of East Hartford for the past 50 years. Prior to her retirement she was a dedicated employee for 33 years at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center, East Hartford where she was a dietary aide supervisor. She was a hard worker who loved her work and helping others. Mary was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching the PGA golf tour with her husband. A devout Catholic, she was a long-time faithful communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford. Besides her beloved husband, Mary is survived by a son, Daniel P. Lima, Jr. and his wife, Colleen, of Manchester, two daughters, Rhonda M. Onisto and her husband, Allen, of Mauldin, SC, Laurie A. Lima of East Hartford; six special grandchildren, Stephanie Onisto, Ashley Lima, Thomas Onisto, Hope Lima, Rachel Lima, and Daniel Lima; and a great-grandson, Kellen Onisto. She also leaves a sister, Rita Farland of Fall River, MA; several dear in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and former co-workers.
Funeral services will be Saturday, (May 19) at 9:30 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
