Pamela (Smyth) Sisson, 80, of East Hartford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 27, 2024. Born in Hartford, on October 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys (Mooney) Smyth. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree, Pam worked as a paraprofessional for the East Hartford Public Schools for 48 years before retiring.
Pam was an extraordinary bowler and was inducted into the CT Bowling Hall of Fame. She was an avid fan of both men and women UCONN Basketball. In her free time, Pam enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Hallmark movies, eating seafood, and playing games on her phone.
Pam is survived by her two children; Michael Sisson and wife Rina of Coventry, and Michelle Falkner and husband James of New York. Five cherished grandchildren; Taylor, Mackenzie, Cody, Zachary, and Zoe. Four adored great-grandchildren; Skylar, Lila, Paisley, and soon to be born, Hunter. And one brother Bruce Smyth and wife Diane of Cromwell.
A funeral service to commemorate Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1:30 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St. East Hartford. Calling hours will be held prior to the service starting at 12 pm. There is no burial. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution in Pam’s name may be made to GCC USBC Youth Scholarship Fund, 61 East Street Suite 1 Plainville CT 06062.
