

Richard “Rich” Arnold Gracia, 68, of East Hartford, beloved husband for 48 years of Jo-Ann (Krempasky) Gracia, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Born in Bridgeport on November 19, 1948, he was the son of the late Aurelio and Lillian (Caspar) Gracia. Richard was a proud Army veteran and served honorably in the Vietnam War. Rich was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters and retired from Northeast Utilities. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan and an outdoorsman. In addition to his loving wife Jo-Ann, Rich will be forever missed by his two children, Richard A. Gracia of East Hartford and Elizabeth S. Tucci and husband Paul of East Windsor and his adored granddaughter Abbey. Rich is also survived by his brother, Aurelio and three sisters, Maxine, Susan and Theresa, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday (August 27) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The family is extremely grateful to the Hartford Hospital Transplant Unit and encourages everyone to please be an organ donor.
