Rinette Marie Dechaine Cyr

Rinette Marie (Dechaine) Cyr, 68, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Joseph Luc Cyr, entered into eternal life at home with her family by her side on Wednesday (April 16, 2014). Born in Van Buren, ME on December 23, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Xavier and Isabelle (Guerrette) Dechaine. Rinette graduated from Madawaska High School in 1964. Rinette worked as a day care provider for many years prior to becoming a “Nanny” to the Thomas family and loved taking care of children. She was a faithful communicant of St. Isaac Jogues Church in East Hartford. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed walking and cooking, vacationing and entertaining but her greatest joy was her family. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her daughter, Denise Boutot and her husband Paul of Tolland; two adored grandsons, Trevor and Dominic Boutot, both of Tolland; her special friend, Eldon Levesque of East Hartford with whom she made her home. Rinette was the sister of Richard Deschenes of California, Ellis and his wife Cecile of Terryville, Gerold (Tobee) and his wife Murielle, Roger Dechaine, Diane Daigle, Theresa Lagasse and her husband Normand, Michael Dechaine and his wife Joyce, Joseph and his wife Marlene all from Madawaska, Maine and many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Besides her husband and parents, Rinette was predeceased by her son, Mark P. Cyr and daughter, Cynthia Cyr. Special thanks to hospice and Mary Keating, who gave us, their love and support during this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22nd at 10a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 1 Community St., East Hartford. Everyone is asked to go directly to church on Tuesday morning. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours. Donations in Rinette’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society, Relay For Life, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or any appropriate cancer research organization.
