

Robert J. “Bobby” Damaschi, Jr., 73, of Manchester, loving husband for over 17 years of Victoria (Reedy) Damaschi, passed away peacefully with his son by his side on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in Hartford on January 18, 1952, a son of the late Robert J. and Mary (Cassello) Damaschi, Sr., he had been a resident of Manchester for over 30 years. Bobby was a graduate of East Hartford High School, class of 1970.
Bobby was a self-employed Master Electrician for forty years in the greater Hartford area. A talented softball player, Bobby played in several area leagues until his late 60’s. He was a member of the Army-Navy Club in Manchester where he participated for many years in the club’s setback card league. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and a dog lover who had rescued several dogs as pets. He also looked forward to riding his motorcycles and taking rides in his corvettes. Most of all, Bobby took great pride in being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle as he cherished his time spent with his entire family.
Along with his beloved wife Vicki, Bobby is survived by his son, Craig M. Damaschi and his wife Rande and their children Hayden and Sienna of Wethersfield; a stepdaughter, Corinne Monfette and her husband Joe and their daughter Gracie of Glastonbury; two sisters, Carol Damaschi Bolduc of East Hartford, Lynne Damaschi-Gelineau and her husband Brett of East Hartford; two brothers, David P. Damaschi, Sr. and his wife Eva-Jane of Ashford, Mark J. Damaschi, Sr. and his wife Maureen of East Hartford. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Lois Vymola in Florida; his special nieces and nephews, David Damaschi, Jr. and his wife Morgan, Anthony Damaschi, Nicole Damaschi, Brett Gelineau and his wife Audrey, Jacqueline Damaschi, Mark Damaschi, Jr.; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Jayla, Greyson, Ryder, and Andrew; his two pet dogs, Biscus and Lexi who brought him great joy every day; several cousins, former teammates, customers, and dear friends.
Funeral service celebrating Bobby’s life will be Monday (August 25th) at 1 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday prior to his funeral service from 11 am to 1 pm at the funeral home chapel. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
