Rose (Kramer) Venturin

Rose (Kramer) Venturin, 94, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Riverside Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, East Hartford. Born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 11, 1920, a daughter of the late August and Frances (Roth) Kramer, she had resided in Bronx, NY for many years prior to living in Florida for 20 years and then moving to East Hartford five years ago. Rose was employed as an Administrative Assistant for many years at Abitibi Price Company and General Electric. Rose enjoyed painting and walking and loved to dance and listen to music. She was a devoted mother and proud grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Rose is survived by two daughters, Hilde O'Brien and her husband, Arthur, of East Hartford, Diana Winocur of Yonkers, NY; a son, Robert Venturin and his life partner, Robert Wall, of Baldwin, NY; three cherished grandchildren, Christopher Mayranen of Stoughton, MA, Stacey Mayranen and her partner, Rochelle Keefe, of East Hartford; Laura Winocur of Yonkers, NY; a great-granddaughter, Veronica; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Hilde Sullivan of Bronx, NY; a son-in-law, Michael Winocur of Yonkers, NY; and her friend and former companion, Hank Glover of Margate, FL. Funeral service will be Wednesday (April 1st) at 10:15 am from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Rose's family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday (March 31st) from 5-7 pm at the funeral home chapel.
