Teresa A. Peck

Teresa A. “Terry” (Cianci) Peck, 94, of East Hartford, loving wife of over 67 years of Martin R. Peck, peacefully journeyed home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on July 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Michael and Concetta (Randazzo) Cianci, she had been a resident of East Hartford for the past 58 years. She was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, class of 1947. She worked for several years at Aetna Insurance Company before going to work at Sears & Roebuck Department Store in Manchester where she retired from after many years of dedicated service to hundreds of customers.

A devout catholic, Terry was a longtime communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford. She was also an avid fan of the UConn Women’s basketball team and a great cook who enjoyed making meals for her family and friends to enjoy. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her time spent with her entire family.

In addition to her beloved husband, Terry is survived by a son, Stephen M. Peck and his wife Lori Lowry of Glastonbury; a daughter, Jennifer A. Slocum and her husband Peter of Rocky Hill; four grandchildren, Lindsay Peck, Michael Peck, Cullen Slocum, and Sean Slocum; two step-grandchildren, Kristen Lowry and Shane Lowry; two great-granddaughters, Avery Peck and Emmy Peck; nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Honoring Teresa’s wishes, private funeral service and burial at Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Teresa’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of CT, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
