

William “Bill” J. Tamiso, 67, of East Hartford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 18, 2025. Born on May 2, 1958, he was the son of the late Franklin John and Marilyn Anne (Tanguay) Tamiso. He graduated from Howell Cheney Technical High School, Manchester, class of 1967. Prior to retirement he was a machinist in the aerospace industry. Bill loved music of all genres and enjoyed going to concerts. An outdoorsman, his favorite things to do were camping and fishing. He won the Shad Fishing Derby 3 years in a row and holds the record. Bill was an avid fan of watching car racing. Most importantly, he loved his family and spending time with them. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend.
Bill is survived by his cherished wife Cheryl Barley of East Hartford. Two daughters Angie Caravello of Middlefield, and Kerenda Barley of East Hartford. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His five brothers; Thomas Tamiso and his wife Irene of Broad Brook, Donald Tamiso and his wife Diane of Tennessee, Robert “Bob” Tamiso and his wife Michelle of Tolland, Paul Tamiso and his wife Belinda of Long Island, Richard Tamiso and his wife Ann of Higganum. Along with a close friend who was like another brother, Timmy Geary of East Hartford. And many nieces, nephews, and dear friend.
A celebration of life for Bill will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to any animal rescue organization of your choosing. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the arrangements.
