

Wilson Beaulieu, 89, of Columbia and formerly East Hartford, beloved husband for 51 years of the late Angela (Motola) Beaulieu, passed away on Sunday June 25, 2017. Born on the front porch of a small cottage in Portage Lake, ME, he was the son of the late Thomas Beaulieu and Clara (Soucier) Beaulieu. Wilson was employed by the Metropolitan District Commission for 38 years prior to his retirement. Wilson was also a member of the MDC Men’s Club and East Hartford VFW. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Wilson served his county in the SEABEES during WWII. Besides his wife Angela, Wilson was predeceased by his brothers, Herbie, Joe, Wilford, Clifford and Gilbert; his sister, Emily and half-sister, Myrtle King. He is survived by his three sons, Gary Beaulieu of Colchester, Wilson Beaulieu of South Carolina and Steven and Christine Beaulieu of Columbia; many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his loving companion of 19 years, Marie Carman Nadeau and her daughter Claudette Pabouet, whom he loved like his own daughter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday (June 30) from 9-10:30 a.m. with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at the State Veterans’ Cemetery, Middletown. Donations in Wilson’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
