It's with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alfredo Vallejo. He was born June 27, 1931 , in El Paso, Texas, and passed away December 2, 2025. He has touched many lives with wisdom, joy and laughter throughout his journey of 94 years.
He was a son of the late Juan and Aurelia Vallejo. Alfredo served his country in the United States Army for 3 years and served during the Korean war. He then married, had 5 kids and worked for 30 years at Phelps Dodge Refinery. He retired early at age 62 and enjoyed a lot of traveling during his retirement years, moving from El Paso to Fort Worth to be near his kids, grandkids and great grandkids for the last 9 years of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josefina Alvarez Vallejo. He is survived by his 5 kids, Alfredo Vallejo Jr, Guadalupe Cabral, Alicia Guevara, Jose Vallejo and Maria Concepcion (Concha) Herrera. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, along with many other family and friends who will greatly miss him.
Visitation will be Monday December 15, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a vigil at 6:30 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be Tuesday December 16, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 518 Gallagher St. El Paso, Texas 79915; with interment to follow in Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. El Paso, Texas 79906.
