September 08, 2019 at the age of 70. Alicia was born on August 9, 1949 in
Chicago, Illinois. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and
friend to all whose lives she touched. She lived a full life as a wonderful
mother, homemaker, and a brave warrior until the end.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andres and Susana Velasquez, her
sister Rosalie Narvaez, and son Xavier Salvador Serrano. Alicia is survived
by her sisters Margaret Ortiz, Stella Salazar, Olga Gonzales; brothers Joseph
A. Godines, Andrew Velasquez Jr. She also leaves behind her sons
Alexander (Cynthia) and Abraham (Diva Maria), daughter Alicia (Alfredo), and
grandchildren Sophia, Alexander, Mateo, Yarelin, Javier Abraham,
Alexzandria, Abraham Jr, Diva, Jose S, Alfredo Iban, Jessica K, and Christian
G.
Alicia loved her family and instilled in her family strong values that have
served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. A
celebration of Alicia’s life will be held at Evergreen East Funeral Home, 12400
Montana Ave, El Paso, TX on Thursday, September 12, 2019. Visitation will
be from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service
will be Friday, September 13, 2019 at 10:00 am at Evergreen East Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
