Baltazar Sánchez, born January 6, 1946 and passed away on August 14, 2024 at the age of 78. He was the beloved son of Carlos Sánchez and Genoveva of Durango and Zacatecas, Mexico. He started working at the young age of 13. Baltazar was a salesman and entrepreneur until his retirement in 2011 from UETA Tax and Duty Free.
Baltazar and his wife Carmen celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Baltazar was a man of deep faith, whose life was a testament to his love and devotion as a son, husband, father, and brother. He was known for his fairness and respect towards others, always placing his family at the center of his world. His greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones, creating cherished memories that will be remembered forever.
Baltazar had a passion for music and singing, often lifting spirits with his voice. He was also a gifted poet, who not only recited poetry but also penned his own verses. His words, like his actions, were always filled with warmth and generosity. Baltazar was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to help those in need, and his family and friends knew they could always rely on him for support and guidance.
Traveling was another of Baltazar's joys, with Las Vegas holding a special place in his heart. He made many trips, both for business and pleasure, accompanied by his beloved wife and daughter. These journeys were more than just trips; they were opportunities to share in the laughter, love, and adventure that defined Baltazar's life.
Baltazar's presence in the lives of those who knew him was a true blessing, and his memory will continue to inspire and uplift those he left behind.
Baltazar is survived by his wife, Carmen Calderon, children Alfredo Sánchez (Margarita), and Ernesto Sánchez (Bea), siblings Graciela Macias, Rosa Barraza, Malena Palacios, Juan Sánchez, Carlos Sánchez, Teresa Molina, Manuel Sánchez, and Salvador Sánchez. He has five grandchildren, Freddy, Brianna, Aaron, Alexandra, and Andrea and 2 great grandchildren Christian and Christopher. He was preceded in death by daughter Lizeth and brothers Benjamin, Agustin, Raul and Arturo.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday August 21 at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer. Funeral Mass will be Thursday August 22 at 11:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 9025 Diana Drive, followed by a private burial.
