Bertaldo Diaz III

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Bertaldo Diaz III (Bert), at the age of 39. He passed away on May 5, 2025. A beloved husband, father, son, and brother, Bert, will always be remembered for his kindness to all and the love he had for his family. He was born in Roswell, New Mexico on September 13, 1985, to Esperanza Martinez and Bertaldo Diaz Jr. He was the brother of Jose Angel Diaz, Jessica Diaz, and Ezekiel Martinez. Bert married the love of his life, Jeannette Diaz, on April 6, 2013. They were together for 21 years and since their teenage years. They had 2 children, Janae and Jaden Diaz. Bert graduated from Sierra Blanca High School. Bert worked as a truck driver for Old Dominion Freight Line. He was a parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family, going out to eat, cooking out, going on vacations, listening to music, and loved classic cars. He was a huge Raiders and Dodgers fan but a bigger fan of the Bulldogs, his son Jaden’s baseball team. He loved going to all the games and practices. He dedicated time to practicing with his son Jaden and talking about baseball with him. He also spent a great deal of his free time teaching Jaden how to play different sports. He had a tremendous heart and was always willing to help anyone. He was loved by many and will always be remembered. He was survived by his wife Jeannette Diaz, daughter Janae Diaz, son Jaden Diaz, mother Esperanza Martinez, stepfather Jacob Martinez, father Bertaldo Diaz Jr., stepmother Sara Garces, sister Jessica Diaz, and brother Ezekiel Martinez. He was preceded in death by his brother Jose Angel Diaz.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79938. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 12 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 12200 Vista Del Sol Dr, El Paso, Texas 79936. Rite of Committal will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery East. Pallbearers will be Jesse Calvetti, Julian Garcia, Alejandro Garcia, Ezekiel Martinez, Jesse Ruiz, and Rudy Salazar. Honorary pallbearers will be James Cobarrubio, Ray Diaz, and Robert Montoya.
