Blanca was born on April 20, 1955 and passed away February 10, 2026, after a brave two-year battle with cancer.
She was a devoted mother to Valerie Nelson (Glen Nelson) and Vivian Fernandez, and a proud grandmother to Alyssa Nelson, Alexis Nelson, and Jordan Nelson, along with her beloved fur grandson, Crow. She is also survived by her brothers, Oscar Villegas and Enrique Hernandez, and was preceded in death by her parents, Adela Villegas and Apolinar Villegas.
Blanca had a generous heart and loved giving back. She found joy in baking, gardening, and sewing, sharing her talents lovingly with those around her. Her strong faith carried her throughout her life and gave her strength in her final years.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd, El Paso, TX 79936.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. All who attend are welcome to wear Dallas Cowboys gear or colors in honor of Blanca, as this will be the theme of her reception. The reception will be held at Blanca’s home - please contact Valerie or Vivian for the address.
