Carmen was preceded in death by her son Edward Smith, her parents Carlos and Socorro Trejo, and her brothers Manuel, Carlos, and Samuel Trejo.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Edward Hermann, her sons James (Rosa) and Michael Douglas (Rose), and her daughter Deanna Smith-Duran (Leo) and her 11 grandchildren.
A visitation for Carmen will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a vigil at 7:00 PM, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, August 23rd at 9:30 AM at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr., El Paso, Tx 79915 with interment to follow in Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, Fort Bliss, Texas 79906.
