Elvira C. Duarte

Elvira C. Duarte. Age 102, beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Abuela) and great-grandmother was called to her eternal place on December 30, 2017. She entered this world on April 18, 1915 in the state of Chihuahua. Elvira was a strong, giving person who served as a foster-parent several years for various children.

She was preceded in death by her parents Salvador and Francisca R. Carrillo, her husband Lorenzo Duarte, her son Lorenzo Santos Duarte (Carmen) as well as brother Jose Carrillo and three sisters Isabel Gomez, Benita Carrillo and Teresa Ramirez.

She is survived by her daughter Hermila D. Carrasco (Ricardo) and son Rodolfo Duarte (Cyndi). She is also survived by five grandchildren Sergio Duarte (Delia), Alberto Carrasco, Damian Duarte (Jessica), Laura D. Juarez (Gilbert) and Julian Carrasco.

Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 4 from 5PM to 9PM with rosary at 6PM. at Martin Funeral Home Central; 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 5 at 1PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 E. Montana Ave.
