Gilberto was a proud Veteran of the US Army and proud to have served during WWII.
Gilberto is survived by his daughter Sylvia Marquez; his daughter Gloria Garcia; his daughter Susana Luna (Albert Luna); his son Gilberto Perez (Martha Perez); and his daughter Gracie Sausameda (Concepcion Sausameda).
Gilberto was preceded in death by his spouse Guadalupe Jaramillo Perez; his mother Juanita Perez and his father Gregorio Perez.
Gilberto also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Visitation for Gilberto will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil at 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 602 S. Oregon, El Paso, Texas 79901. Committal service will follow at 11:30 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, Fort Bliss, Texas 79906.
