Gloria Irene Rorabaugh Roberts

Gloria Irene Rorabaugh Roberts as born on March 29, 1926, in Johnstown, PA. She passed away on January 1, 2012, in El Paso, TX. She is survived by her husband, Edward Allan Roberts; her daughter, Karen Scruggs, and son-in-law, Benton Scruggs; her son, Daryl Roberts, and daughter-in-law, Karla Roberts; and her son-in-law, Lester Green. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, their spouses and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mabel Rorabaugh; her brothers, Carl, Robert, and Ronald Rorabaugh; and her daughter, Malene Roberts Green.

Gloria was an active member of United Methodist Women and Church Women United. She contributed many blankets to Protect Linus and was an avid quilt maker. She worked for many years as a secretary at the El Paso Natural Gas Building Company. She also worked in Houston at the University of Texas Health Science Center.

She relied on her Lord, Jesus Christ, to sustain her in life and will eternally be in His Kingdom.

Visitation service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central 3839 Montana. Chapel Service will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Trinity 1st United Methodist Church.
