Herlinda P. Drury

Herlinda Padilla Drury, 88, started her eternal life on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was born in El Paso, TX on February 28, 1928 to Manuel Marion and Paula Solis Padilla. She married Billy Dean Drury on June 6, 1953 and traveled the world as a military wife and lived a full life. She was a generous, selfless woma , and her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gloria Hernandez, and husband, Billy Dean Drury. She is survived by her children: Gary (Sylvia) Drury, Sharon Drury, Billy Dean (Kathy) Drury, and Paul (Alice) Drury; grandchildren: Steven(Cassie) Drury, Mary Alice Drury, Leslie Drury, Zachary Drury, Sarah Drury, Noah Drury, Paula Drury, Nathan Drury, and great-grandson Brayden Drury. She was a strong, courageous, compassionate woman from the greatest generation. A devout Catholic she lead by example and walked by faith. She leaves behind many friends and relatives. “There are three things that remain-Faith, Hope, and Love, and- the greatest of these is love” 1Corinthians 13: 13.

Services will be at St. Raphael’s. Monday, October 3rd from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 4t, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church, 2301 Zanzibar. Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
