

Jacqueline was born in Mobile, Alabama, where she met and married the love of her life, John Thomas.
Together, they raised five sons. She received her undergraduate degree from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama, and two graduate degrees, one from The University of Arizona and one from The University of Texas in El Paso. Jacqueline was a charter member of the El Paso alumnae chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She was an elementary teacher and administrator for El Paso ISD for a combined total of 33 years.
Jackie was a valiant woman with a great sense of humor who was an expert in dealing with children. Her family received the focus of her love and attention. Her favorite pass time activities were reading and cooking. She was a very kind and loving woman who went out of her way to help others. Jackie was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she attended Mass regularly. Her strong faith in the Lord helped to see her through life's ups and downs.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, John. She is survived by her five sons, John Jr., Keith (Connie), Anthony (Monica), Stephen, Darryl (Irma), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by all of her family, and she will be missed tremendously.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Rosary at 10:00 a.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Central, at 3839 Montana Avenue in El Paso. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 1050 N. Clark Drive in El Paso. The burial will be for ten family members only on Thursday, March 18, at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
