It is with much sorrow that we bow our heads with our hats over our broken hearts to announce the death of our beloved cowboy, Javier Aguirre. While a very active participant in the arena of life he also became a bullfighter, expert roper, and entrepreneur that placed many happy horses with owners and cared for them at his ranch. He could be considered the St. Francis of Chaparral as evidenced by the tender care all animals received by him. He was a colorful man full of sharp wit and wisdom who had vibrant passion for life, nature & talent for making those around him always laugh. He was often referred to as the Mark Twain of the Southwest by close friends and family. Javier was a loving husband, father & doting grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew & loved him. He is survived by his wife Pamela; daughters, Deborah Ann Aguirre - Casillas and Emily Myers; 2 grandchildren; brothers, Mario, Jr., and Hector Aguirre; sister, Estella Aguirre. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Martin Central. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
