Josefina C. Arciniega

Josefina C. Arciniega, age 94, of El Paso passed away peacefully on April 22, 2021. She was born on August 25, 1926 and was the first born child of the late Aurora and Antonio Cordova. After attending Bowie high school, Josefina started working with The White House department store in 1947. In 1957, she was promoted to Manager of the receiving room where she supervised all incoming inventory and exceled with her knack for math and exceptional memorization skills. She married Mr. Rufus Arciniega in 1960 and they were happily married for 35 years. Josefina was a devout Catholic and faithful to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Josefina was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Arciniega, parents Aurora and Antonio Cordova Sr., sister Evangelina Marin (née Cordova), and brothers Manuel and Hector Cordova. She is survived by brothers Antonio Jr., Ruben, Armando, and Arturo Cordova. Josefina leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who cherish her memory and caring spirit.
