Julia Alonzo Valdez

Devoted mother and grandmother, Julia Alonzo Valdez, 79, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on December 19, 2025. Born in El Paso, Texas on December 18,1946, Julia had a talent for music and was blessed with a beautiful voice. She would eventually join the Night Dreamers Band as a vocalist. In addition to her passion for singing, Julia was a woman of deep faith who had a loving heart. She prayed for everyone she met, not only family and friends, but also enemies. She will be remembered by those whose lives she touched.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Alonzo and Emma Lopez Alonzo, husband, brother, Manuel Alonzo Jr., and by her daughter, Elizabeth Valles-Carbajal. Left to cherish her memory is her only son, Louis I. Alonzo. Julia is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her brothers, Ernesto Alonzo, David Alonzo, Victor Alonzo, Richard Alonzo, and Sonny Alonzo and by her sisters, Ernestina Alonzo Ramirez, Teresa Alonzo Valdez, and Irene Alonzo Torres.

Memorial Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with Vigil Service at 10 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen, 12400 E. Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79938. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 12200 Vista Del Sol Dr., El Paso, Texas 79936. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
