Mamita Linda, a woman of such grace, love, compassion, and all heart. Our mom is truly a precious GEM that started a family filled with love and unity. Her kind ways and unconditional love was admired by all. Laudelia also known as “Lela, Lelita, and her favorite, Little Grama.”
Laudelia Perez from San Juan De Los Lagos, worked hard all her life. She had a passion for life, family, and cooking. Family to her was everything, she resided in Juarez, Mexico before becoming a proud U.S. Citizen. She cared for her mom Maria Barrajas for many years, commuting back and forth from Juarez to El Paso. El Paso, TX became her permanent home where she lived an abundant life. Laudelia (Dominant Spanish speaker) went to school and completed her cosmetology program, where she worked as a manicurist for many years. All her co-beauticians adored her as all her clients did. “Lelita” filled the beauty shop with joy and laughter. She would light up any room she walked into. She completed her career and retired to enjoy her independence and spend time with her beloved brother, our “Uncle Pete,” traveling any chance she could with her cousin Ofelia, and to visit her brother in California. Her life revolved around family, Perez family, her son, daughters, and grandkids. She then participated and helped at a home day care, and fed those little ones ‘til their heart was content. She not only fed them meals, nutrition, but love with her nurturing ways. Laudelia taught us all the value of life and to be thankful for all of our blessings. She lived a long beautiful life and left behind what was known to her as her “5 Tesoros!” She is missed dearly, but we already know she is resting in her well-deserved beautiful domain.
The family would also like to express their appreciation to all the wonderful caregivers over the years that gave such tender care to our precious GEM. Mary Gene, Mari, Martita, Esmeralda, and to Bienvivir for their care services for mom.
