Louis Torres passed away on July 15, 2017 after a brief but intense battle with lung cancer. Louis was born May 28, 1936 in El Paso. In 1954 he graduated from Cathedral High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball for the “Fighting Irish.” Louis worked in road construction, and managed his own firm for many years. Louis enjoyed gardening and bird watching, and taking care of his cherished rescue dogs. He was passionate about his Mexican heritage, and loved listening to Juan Gabriel and Marc Antonio Solis.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19 from 5 to 9pm, with vigil at 7pm, Martin Funeral Home Central. Graveside service will be Thursday, July 20 at 2:00pm at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
