Echaniz, Lucila Cordova (93), passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was born on April 20, 1922 in El Paso, TX to Gabriel Cordova and Carmen Fourzan de Cordova. Lucila graduated from St. Mary’s grade school and St. Joseph Academy, class of 1940. She was preceded in death by parents, husband of 70 years, Raul Echaniz, daughter Carmela, son-in-law Emilio Enriquez, five brothers: Gabriel Jr. Oscar, Carlos, Humberto, Armando, and Sister -in-law Susana Ruiz de Cordova. She is survived by her sister Leticia Castillo (Refugio+), nieces Isabel Palacio (Fernando), Susie Maroscher, Yolanda Adamas, (Eddie), Maura Cordova, and nephew Javier Fraire (Estela). The family would like to thank Hospice of El Paso for all their care. Especially, RN Armando, and CNA Maria. Thanks also to Mrs. Echaniz primary doctor, Jose Silva who took great care of her for many years. Mrs. Echaniz will be cremated and interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
