Luz A. Lea

Luz Adauto Lea, age 100 years, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 15, 2015. She was born November 25, 1914 and lived in El Paso all her life. Luz graduated from Guardian Angel School. Luz was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles Lea, Sr., her parents, Clemente and Petra Adauto, 3 brother, 4 sisters, grandsons Sam Perez, Peter Lea, daughter-in-law Margarita Lea.

Survived by her daughters Edna Mae Lea, Esther L Flores (George), Martha Jane Mendoza (David), sons Charles Edward Lea, Jr. and James David Lea (Grace), 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, brother Angel Adauto, sisters Maria Ofelia Adauto and Maria Adauto and a large extended family and friends.

Luz (Mama Moo) will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in her name be made to her parish, Santo Nino de Atocha, 210 S. Clark, El Paso, Texas 79905.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 700 pm at Martin Funeral Home Central. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Santo Nino de Atoche Parish. Committal service to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
