Tia Lucy came to see us often, and we looked forward to seeing her each time she did. She was our favorite; she exuded positivity and friendliness at all times. She was a morning person, and our family was not at all. Hearing her exclaim, "Good morning, Baaaaybee!" was the highlight of our day. Even our late brother Mark appreciated her cheerfulness as he listened to her whistle melodies. Everyone felt loved by her.
We enjoyed listening to her and our Grandma Aurora exchange childhood recollections and laughter. She had a special bond not just with our immediate family but also with our extended family. We loved her immensely! After the passing of our grandma, it was comforting to hear the familiar voice of our aunt, Lucy, on the phone. In many ways, she was like a second grandmother to us. You could always depend on her for a smile, a laugh, and a good time. We will always remember her with a smile and great affection.
    We want to express our deepest sympathy to the Zavala family for losing your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Please accept our sincere condolences. You and the rest of us will carry her memories with us always and forever in our hearts. May God provide her with everlasting peace and a secure place to rest with him. Our prayers for God's healing are now with you and your family. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the souls of all the faithful departed, Lucy Zavala,  through the mercy of God, rest in peace. 

So very sorry for the loss of Lucy. She was always so sweet when I would see her when she was visiting Robert, Patsy and the kids. I remember the first time I met her and she had asked Kerina to perm her hair, or out curlers in it, I can’t remember but she started talking to me and I didn’t realize at first she was talking to me because she was talking in Spanish and I didn’t speak much Spanish at all. We all had a good laugh and then the others jumped in to translate for me. She was a sweet soul and I could feel the love she had for her family. I know she will be greatly missed by so many. Keeping the family in my thoughts and prayers❤️

Deepest deepest condolences 💐 Lucy and my mom….best of friends….they video chatted last in July.  It was good listening to them talking to each other. Lucy always talked about her family….daughters, sons and grandchildren and great grandchildren. That she was going to California.  

This picture was taken 2017. It was the last time they would see each other in person…because I moved my mom to live with me. Lucy wasn’t too happy and a bit saddened.

But they stayed intouch until July 2022….before hanging up they both said God Bless you. Bendiciones….

Deepest deepest condolences 💐 Lucy and my mom go way back. My mom and dad knew Stanley and Lucy.  They got to know my dad first….because he would frequent the little store they owned.  

My mom always looked fwd to Sundays…because that is when Lucy would come by to visit with my mom after church.  They would have a botana y unas beers.
