Margarita Florinda Rivera, beloved by all who knew her, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in Balmorhea, Texas, on July 20, 1941, Margarita lived a life full of love and devotion.
Margarita, affectionately known as Flo, married Gilbert N. Rivera on February 11, 1957, and together they built a loving family. Flo worked as a hairstylist for Hair We Are, where her passion for her work and her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shone brightly.
She is survived by her brother David Alvarez and her children Margie Chrestman, Annabelle Garcia, and Gilbert Rivera Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Ruby J. Aguilar, Erica Gutierrez, Larry Garcia Jr., Krystal Duarte, Alysha Martinez, and Timothy Rivera, as well as her great-grandchildren Aubrey Ruiz, Amberlynn Ruiz, Chris, Nicholas and Nathan Duarte, and Lillyanna Martinez.
A chapel service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas, in the Angel room, on December 23, 2025, at 10:00 am. Following the chapel service, a graveside service will take place at Fort Bliss Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX, at 1:30 pm.
Margarita's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
