Maria Luisa Esparza Limas, lovingly known as Licha, was born May 2, 1928 in El Paso, Texas and was called to be with our Lord on March 8, 2021 at 92 years of age. She was the matriarch and light of her family and will be greatly missed.
Licha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Antonio Limas Sr., her parents Andres and Rita Esparza, and 12 siblings. She is survived by her children, Antonio Jr (Tony Boy), Raymundo (Roy), Andres (Andy), Jerry & Patricia, Albert, Virginia (Ginny), David & Lee L. Vasquez, and Christina & April; her grandchildren, Stephanie Campa(Daniel), Jennifer Lee (Daniel), Nicholas, Steven, Venessa, and Chance; great-grandchildren Aydrieanna, Kyianna, Paul Jr, Kendra, Isaiah, Lyla, & Alyssa, & many, many nieces and nephews. Licha was the most loving, beautiful, selfless, caring, perfect in our eyes wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, all around person you could ask for, she was our Angel on Earth.
Licha graduated from Ysleta High then she enlisted into the Air Force (Sept 26,1951-55) A1C. She was fiercely devoted to her family, friends, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and faith, praying the Rosary every day. Licha was also a Guadalupana. She loved life and took every opportunity she could to dance, sing, travel, and cook.
Visitation from 4-8pm Thursday, March 25, Rosary at 6pm, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Mass will be 9am Friday, March 26, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2709 Alabama followed by 10:30am graveside service at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
