Mark E. Montez

Mark Emmett Montez, born June 8, 1955, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away October 11, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents LTC Meterio J. and Mary C. Montez, and his brother, Paul L. Montez. Mark had a love of many things including dancing and Star Trek. He had such a ready smile which endeared him to almost everyone. Mark - our Pal, Blue Funny, Mix - was our joy - always happy, always loving. Rest easy now Pal, and say hello to Mama, Daddy and Paul. He is survived by his siblings Dorothy McDade (Harry), Faith Swofford, James Montez, Martin Montez, Betsy Vialpando, Michol Wright (Mike) and Gabrielle Robinson; sister-in-law Gloria Montez; nephews Mike Lonsway, Sean, Andrew, Paul and Joseph McDade, Christopher Montez, David Montez, John and Lewis Wright and Evan Robinson; nieces Lee Maltais, Kristy Swofford, Elizabeth Campbell, Lynda Kirby, Jamie Rueda, Katherine Robinson, Lissett Peinado and Regina Montez, plus several great nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held October 15, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Rosary at 6:00 pm, at Del Angel Funeral Home, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral mass will be officiated by Reverend Kennon Y. Ducre Friday, October 16, 2015 at 8:30 am, at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Dakota, followed immediately by internment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
