Martha was born in El Paso and grew up in the Sunset Heights neighborhood. She attended Vilas Elementary and El Paso High Schools. She married Fernando in 1952 and spent the next 65 years with him until his passing in 2017. Her faith was strong as a lifelong parishioner of St Patrick's Cathedral, and a member of the Altar Society. In addition to caring for her family, she was employed for several years by Holdsworth Jewelry store, where she learned about and developed a love of jewelry, silverware, fine china, and crystal. She then went on to spend many years as an employee of the El Paso Independent School District, in various capacities at several elementary schools. Martha also cherished the many friendships she developed as a member of the SNS social club.
Martha is survived by her son David F. Cisneros (Beth); her son Ricardo E. Cisneros; her son Jorge E. Cisneros; her son Roberto P. Cisneros; and her daughter Caroline Rose E. Cisneros; her grandchildren Aaron, David, Ruth, Marco, Tiffany, Myles and Mason; her great-grandchildren Ryan, Jaelynn, Bailey and Levi; Her siblings Joe F. Veytia and Yolanda Butler.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband Fernando Cisneros; her great grandchild Tyler, her parents Carolina L. Veytia and Jose Tomas Veytia and her brother George H. Veytia.
Visitation for Martha will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will follow on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 9:00 AM at St Patrick's Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa St. El Paso, TX. 79902. Committal service to follow at 10:30 AM at Ft Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. El Paso, TX. 79906.
