Ramon (Ray) Torres Jr.

Ramon (Ray) Torres, Jr., 59, passed away on August 30th, 2012, peacefully in Phoenix, AZ surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 20th, 1953 in El Paso, Texas to Ramon and Rosa Torres. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972 and attended The University of Texas at El Paso. He moved to Phoenix in 1978, attended Phoenix College, and pursued a career as a structural steel detailer. He enjoyed listening to jazz music, drawing pictures, painting, and baking. He also enjoyed playing his trombone. His greatest passion was reading books. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years Mary, two children Becky and Ray III, a grandson Michael Roman, parents Rosa and Ramon, brothers Rudy, Joe, Roman, Frankie, Stevie, and Mark Torres, and sister Gloria Capasso. He touched many and will forever be in our hearts. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, September 6th, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas, 79903 from 5-9 pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa Street, El Paso, Texas at 10am, followed by burial at Mt.
