Larry, the only child of Fran and Luz Tolland, his parents, who preceded him in death, had three children, 4 grandchildren and many friends known to him as “my brothers and sisters in Christ.”
He worked for 21 years in the El Paso Independent School District as a teacher and counselor. After an automobile accident in 1993 which left him disabled he retired from EPISD and devoted himself to being a Liturgical musician. He belonged to four different choirs at St. Pius X as both singer and a percussionist. He continued his Choir Ministry at All Saints Church. As an only child growing up he had always cultivated a relationship with God, but it was not until 1989 that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. With his knowledge and believing that an All merciful and compassionate God who is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent and Eternal he believed that, that God will allow him and his 8 German Shepards and Bonita to join All the Choirs of Angels and Saints who perpetually “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 6th from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue with a Memorial Service beginning at 12 noon.
