Robert Yanez (91) passed away peacefully on May 19, 2023 with his family lovingly by his side and in the arms of his grandson Robert J. Yanez. Our beloved Roberto who was born in Chihuahua, Mexico was known as “Yanitos” to his wife of 71 years, Socorro Yanez and his daughter Socorrito. Roberto was a strong person who mentored many, could be counted on no matter what, and gave the best advise-which he called “mis consejos.” He took pride in working as a Welder for many years with Kesler and providing for his family. He instilled a great work ethic and love for his country in all his family members. He taught us to be a person of your word, firm handshakes matter, respect yourself and not to waste good opportunities. He enjoyed having cookouts on Sundays with his grandkids who were the light of his life.
We are profoundly thankful for the incredible influence that he had on our lives. It is nearly impossible to measure his relentless love, care, support, encouragement and prayers for each of us over the course of our lives. How good God has been to all of us who had the privilege of knowing this wonderful man of faith, humility, and integrity. Our beloved grandpa was married to the love of his life for 71 years. The love, faithfulness, and affection towards one another after all these years, has made a loud statement of how marriage and sacrifice works. The significance and value that this incredible man has planted in our hearts will endlessly continue to grow for generations. Grandpa, you will forever be deeply missed and always in our hearts! “No es adios pero los vemos alrato quierdo Dad, Haney, Grandpis.”
Roberto Yanez is survived by his wife Socorro Yanez, daughter Maria Del Socorro Yanez, grandson Robert J. Yanez, granddaughters Mayra Y. Cano, Maryela Gallardo, Melissa Ruiz, great grandchildren Robert A. Cano, Dante A. Cano, Marceli Gallardo, Sofia Gallardo, Robert A. Yanez, Evelyn R. Saenz, great- great grand children Oliver R.
