Rosalia B. Ruiz, age 71, passed away early Wednesday morning on February 19th, 2025 at Grace Pointe Wellness Center where she succumbed to cancer complications. She was born on August 29th, 1953, to the late Juan Manuel and Ramona Bustamante in El Paso, Texas.
Our beloved Rosie is survived and dearly missed by her loving husband, Ramon Ruiz, of 52 years, her son Ramon Ruiz Jr., his wife Ana Ruiz, daughter Griselda Ortega-Carlos, her husband Arturo Ortega-Carlos, and her brothers, Ramon and Carlos Bustamante.
She is forever remembered and cherished by her grandchildren, Arturo Ortega-Carlos Jr. and his wife Denise Diaz, Cynthia Ruiz, Cassandra Ruiz, Sophia Ortega-Carlos, Veronica Ruiz, Anabel Ruiz, and Monica Ruiz. She is loved by her great-grandchildren, Giovanni Ezra Ortega and Jordan Arian Saenz.
Our sweet Rosie visited the land of Oz often, with the infamous Wizard of Oz being her all-time favorite film. However, she followed her own yellow brick road to a life full of happiness and adventure. She enjoyed knitting and gardening in her spare time, playing board games with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband. Home will not be the same without her, but we will forever be grateful for the time we were able to spend with her.
Pallbearers will be Ramon Ruiz Jr., Arturo Ortega-Carlos, Arturo Ortega-Carlos Jr., Ramon Bustamante, Carlos Bustamante and David Ruiz.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903.
Funeral Mass will be at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 ay Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 10000 Pheasant Rd, El Paso, TX 79924, with a burial to follow in Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
