Ruth completed her life journey on 1/27/2021, and is now at rest. Her greatest joy was her lifelong career in nursing, where she practiced until age 72. A 1954 graduate of Hotel Dieu as an LVN, she later received her BSN from the prestigious Texas Woman’s University. “Miss Ruthie”, as she was fondly nicknamed, mentored many of El Paso’s heath care workers not only in the art of nursing, but on life lessons as well.
Ruth was preceded in death by her spouse of 50 years Frederick Woldt, her sons David and Stephen Woldt, and her grandchildren Ashley Woldt and Madison Beauman.
She is survived by three children; Kathy Woldt (Binghamton, NY), Juanita Eaves (El Paso, TX), and Michael Woldt (Grand Prairie, TX), eight grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.
The family would especially like to thank the nursing and respiratory staff at Premier Specialty Hospital for their kindness and compassion in her final days.
