Socorro R. (Rivera) Casiano

Socorro R. Casiano passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018 at the age of 95. She had just been visited by her sons, grandsons and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jose Casiano-Tirado, three sons: Joseph Q. Casiano (wife Maria Elena), Marcos F. Casiano (wife Bia) and Charles J. Casiano (wife Mary). She is also survived by her four grandsons: Michael Joseph, Christopher John (wife Tana), Anthony Charles (wife Talitha) and Joseph Anthony. Mrs. Casiano also has four great-grandchildren: Lana Zoey, Charlotte Joyce, Penelope Tyla and Oliver Harrison.

Mrs. Casiano was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Raphael parish for many years and served in many capacities. She was also a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of America. For many years she appreciated and attended the El Paso Symphony and she was always a dancer at heart. She had a degree in Child Development from El Paso Community College and worked as a director of a daycare facility for the YWCA.

She had a life well lived and although she will be sorely missed, her family is grateful that she was here for so many years and influenced so many people.
