Tomasa Rivas

At 94 years young, a truly extraordinary woman completed her life’s journey, leaving this world richer for having had her in it. Her life was long, joyful, and filled with love—exactly the way she lived it every day.

She had a warm spirit, a generous heart, and a smile that could instantly make you feel at home. She found happiness in the simple things: time with family, shared laughter, good conversation, and being surrounded by the people she loved most. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special and meaningful.

Family was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Leaving behind two devoted daughters Yvonne R Marquez, Cecilia Montalvo, a beloved niece Gloria Apodaca, six beloved grandchildren Michelle Marquez, Alec Montalvo, Sabin Marquez, Michael Apodaca, Brittney Sotelo, Julian Montalvo and a proud great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren Samantha Sierra, Bianca Sierra, Nadia Marquez, Austin Montalvo, Aiden Montalvo, Carter Sotelo, Sabin Marquez Jr., Camden Sotelo and Noah Montalvo.

She lived with grace, humor, and an appreciation for life that inspired everyone around her. Her days were full, her heart was happy, and her life was complete. While her absence will be felt deeply, her legacy is one of joy, resilience, and unconditional love.

We celebrate her life with gratitude. Though she may be gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts—smiling, loving, dancing, and watching over the family she cherished so dearly.
