William (Bill) Edward Stoner, Jr. was born on January 4, 1937 in Braddock, Pennsylvania to Dorothy Clugston Stoner and William Edward Stoner, Sr. In 1955, immediately after high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was sent to Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. While there, he met the love of his life, Evangelina Mesa, and they were married on March 15, 1957. Following his honorable discharge in July 1957, he joined the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. He retired from the Postal Service in 1992 following an injury, but he remained an active member and officer of the National Association of Letter Carriers until his death. Bill loved woodworking, tinkering, helping others and his Victory Family Church family. He is survived by his son Frank Stoner, son John Stoner and John's wife Barbara Fox Stoner, son Alan Stoner, grandson Matthew Tod Stoner, Grandson Thomas William Stoner, sister Roean Arendas, brother Richard Stoner and Richard's wife Audrey Stoner, his brother-in-law Jose Mesa Jr. and his husband Heinz Weber, his brother-in-law Richard Mesa and Richard's wife Linda Mesa and innumerable nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Evangelina Stoner and his parents and his sisters Eleanor Stoner, Dorothy Mae Stoner, and Betty Hetherington.
