Willie Salgado, age 76, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025. He was born in El Paso, TX to Josefina Salgado. Willie was a graduate of Bowie High School and later served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his time in the Air Force, he worked as a detention and immigration officer. He retired after many years of hard work and dedication and later worked for Texas Tech as a security guard. Willie is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Myrna Salgado; daughter, Samantha Salgado, and niece, Veronica Garibay.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a vigil at 6:30 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Scripture service will be Wednesday, July 23rd at 8:30 am at Funeraria Del Angel Central with interment to follow in Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
Willie was a loving husband and father and will be missed by all who knew him.
