Agnes Elaine Ballard

Agnes Elaine Ballard, aged 87, of Umatilla, Florida, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Born in Vernon, Florida, she embraced her identity as a true Floridian throughout her life. Elaine dedicated many years to the horticulture industry, a field she was passionate about, before enjoying a well-earned retirement. Elaine is lovingly remembered by her family, including her daughter, Glenda (Bob) Strickland of Lady Lake, FL, her son, James (Ruth) Bruce of Umatilla, FL, and her sister, Billie McNeil of Eustis, FL. She also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way, who all carry her spirit forward. A funeral service in her honor will be held at Sandy Acres Baptist Church in Umatilla on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, V.L. Ballard, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Elaine will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
