Catherine Nunziato passed away on February 19, 2026 at the age of 82. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Connie Cestaro. Catherine loved reading and watching her two grandsons play baseball. The most important thing to her was being with her family. In late 2025 along with her husband, Cathy moved to Mt. Dora, Florida, where she resided until her passing. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61.5 years, John Nunziato. Catherine’s legacy continues through her children. Daughters, Donna Nunziato and Denise Nunziato, son John Nunziato Jr. (Michelle) and her two grandsons Nico Nunziato and Luca Nunziato. She also leaves behind a sister, Mari Sparacino (Richard) and nieces and nephews. Before moving to Florida, Catherine was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill, SC. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis, FL
