Sheila Vigue Jones

Sheila Vigue Jones, 84, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. She was born on June 21, 1941, in Waterville, Maine to the late Milton and Elizabeth Vigue. Sheila was a majorette in high school at Traip Academy in Kittery, ME and a member of the local drum corps, competing in many local competitions. She was an avid bowler for many years. Being on several leagues, she made many wonderful friends.

Sheila moved to Mount Dora, Florida, in 1973 from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and community. She worked for the Lake County School System for over 30 years which she retired from. She started as a teacher's aide at Triangle Elementary School in Mount Dora but spent most of her career as a data entry clerk at Tavares Middle School, where she was known for her dedication and reliability.

A woman of strong faith, Sheila was a devoted member of The Cross Church in Mount Dora. She also had a lifelong love for hockey and was an enthusiastic fan of the Orlando Solar Bears, proudly holding season tickets since the mid-1990s.

Through her marriage to Walter "Buck" Jones in 1996, she gained 5 bonus children, Jacki Foster, Barbara Blazek, Walter "Lee" Jones, Gary Jones, Cindy Virden and many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jacki and Lee preceded her in death. Sheila was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter F. “Buck” Jones; her son, David Aiguier; and her sister, Betsy Vigue.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Roxanne (Greg) Coldiron; her grandchildren, Sarah Dubois, Michael Imm, Meghan Carden, Faith Coldiron and Shelby Coldiron; and her four cherished great-grandchildren, Aubrey Dubois, Jaxson Dubois, Waylon Dubois, and Parker Carden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Cross Church of Mount Dora.

A Memorial Service will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, located at 1617 South Bay Street, Eustis, FL, 32726 on January 31, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
