Alfred served in the US Army during the Korean War, where he earned the Silver Star. He had worked as a television technician. He was an avid member of the FOP and VFW Post #1114. Alfred loved the humane society.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley & two nephews.
Alfred is survived by his son, Alvin Ray Davis; grandson, Robert Davis & caregivers, Brenda Gatewood & Ann Tracy & several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park, where there will be military honors. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
