Archie McDowell

He worked for 18 years for Bucyrus-Erie, then later for Bootz Manufactiruing, Walmart and Hardees. He was an Airforce Veteran and enjoyed golf, wood working, yard work and gardening.

Archie was preceded in death by his son, Delbert Ray McDowell; parents; and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruby (Harper) McDowell; sons, Gerald "Jerry" (Vannetta) McDowell of Evansville and Archie Leon McDowell, Jr of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Randell Payne (Jamie) and Joseph (Courtney) McDowell; great-grandchildren, Kylee Payne and Xoee Payne, Lydia McDowell and Malcom McDowell; brothers, Richard (Charon) McDowell and John (Karen) McDowell; sisters, Lizzie Phillips of Evansville, IN and Lucky Singer of Sebree, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance. Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until service time at the chapel.
