To say that Barbara was only a homemaker all her life doesn't do her justice. She was an exceptional seamstress, chef, homemaker and an incredible Mother, not only to her own 4 children, but to countless others as well. Her wisdom, guidance and love knew no bounds. But the greatest gift she gave to all was her incredible faith and belief in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She personified him in all that she said and did. Her family has no doubt that a great homecoming took place on Friday when she met her Savior face to face.
Barbara is survived by her 3 daughters, Cheryl (Jimmie) Beasley of Murfreesboro, TN, Myrrl (Eric) Choate and Leah (Rick) Vaughn, all of Evansville; one son, Brian (Janie) Irvin of Fort Worth, TX; her brother, Richard Harris and sister, Phyllis Hamberg and 2 sisters-in-law, Connie Allen and Melba Burton, all of Illinois. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Andrea (Pat) Henry, Jace (Nicole) Beasley, Tara Choate and her fiancé Bo Goebel, Nancy (Dave) Clements, Nathan (Jennifer) Vaughn, Zachary (Tiffany) Bryan, Sarah (Sam) Newlin-Haus, Samuel Vaughn, Chris (Ashley) Irvin, Joshua Irvin and Kathryn (Arturo) Villa and 11 great-grandchildren, Walter Willis, Michael Nolan, Jacques Beasley, Austin Richards, Lucienne Hart, Brooklyn Clements, Olivia Bryan, Elijah Bryan, Jacob Villa and granddaughter Sarah Newlin-Haus (Sam) will welcome a child in September, as well as many nieces and nephews she dearly loved.
