Betty June Woods, 89, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Solarbron. She was born May 9, 1928, in Corydon, KY to the late Cornelius and Edna (Gebhardt) Duncan.

She was a very good cook and worked several places as a cook before retiring from Hagedorn's. Betty was a lifetime member of Riverbend. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and crossword puzzles, and was a very loving mother.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E Woods, in 1997; daughter , Gloria Jean Acker, in 2008; brothers, Vernon, Harold, Sylvester, Raymond, Marvin; sister, Catherine Ziliak; and parents.

She is survived by sons, Harry W. (Diane) Woods, Keith B. (Cindy) Woods; grandchildren, Dawnelle Powers, April Reed, Rachel Acker, Elaine Woods, Falon Woods, Heather Hust; eight great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Easton; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Danny Walker, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
