Emma M Griese

November 7, 2017, surrounded by family in the comfort of her sons home in O’Fallon,

Missouri.

Emma was born on January 3, 1925 in Posey County, Indiana to the late Emma (Brandt)

and Herman C. Lang.

Mrs. Griese was employed at Chrysler Corporation during WW II and enjoyed reading,

doing needlework, working Jigsaw puzzles, her beautiful flowers and yard.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, 415 N.W. Fifth Street in Evansville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Warren in 2001, sisters, Alvina

Esche and Olivia Griese.

Emma is survived by her daughter Diane Govenor of Milford Ohio, and her son Mark

(Amanda) Griese of O’Fallon, Missouri. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Brent

(Marcy) Bernard, Tara (Bobby) Reinhart of Tampa, Florida and Addison Bruni of O’Fallon,

Missouri and two great grandchildren, Nolan Bernard and Tyler Verwold.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 13, 2017 at Zion United

Church of Christ, 415 NW 5th Street, Rev. Kimron Reising officiating. Entombment will

follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home,

2601 W. Franklin Street. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until service

time on Monday at Zion United Church of Christ.

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ
