Jerry Scheller

Jerry was born March 26, 1942 in Evansville to the late Paul and Ruth (Crabtree) Scheller. He was a 1961 graduate of Mater Dei High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. Jerry worked as a service technician for Double Cola for many years and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company in 2006. He was a member of the Evansville Athletic Club and the VFW Post #1114. Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping, model trains, CB radios and traveling with his family.

Surviving Jerry are his wife of 53 years, Bonnie (Slaton) Scheller; a daughter, Theresa Marie (James) Gough of Evansville; a son, Steven Paul (Jenny) Scheller of Richland, IN; grandchildren, Felicia Grimme, Kristy Gough, Marissa Scheller, Meaghan Scheller, Kendra Scheller, Micah Dean and Christopher Sweeney and great grandchildren, Blake and Mathew Osborne and Tinley Grimme.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a grandson, George David Gough, II and by two stepsisters, Norma Spradley and Wanda Garnett.

Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday and from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
